So what is Niche Site Platform and can it help to make some serious money?
Launched in April 2010 this product was a culmination and bringing together of several other quality products that integrate feeds from top affiliate marketing websites such as:
- Linkshare
- Commission Junction
- Ebay Partner Network
- Amazon Associates
- Overstock
- Shopping.com
- Google Adsense
- AffiliateWindow (Not supported yet in NSP)
Phew! If you can’t make money from these then Internet Marketing (IM) is not for you…..
The software has a very complete manual in PDF format that takes you from registering a domain name and creating a hosting account right through to uploading your files and setting up your database.
The start to finish creation time for a website that integrates the product feeds is very quick, so you can make a lot of websites that work for you in a short period of time.
Downsides are the basic layout templates provided. While they do work you will need to put some effort in to style them. It’s good in some ways because your site will be that bit more unique and will benefit from a few hours of effort. The version we tested included a ‘bare bones’ template which really helped to integrate the product calls into our current layout. Affiliate Window is not supported yet and it would be nice to see this integrated in future.
We timed a start to finish installation using one of the supplied templates at 12 minutes. This included FTP upload times to a VPS so was very respectable. You will need to create a MySQL database but this is explained clearly in the included manual. The finished website was pulling in product feeds smoothly from all vendors except CJ.com. This is because when we copied and pasted the CJ API code, we had some stray spaces. Clearing these made the feed appear.
Support via the website is top notch and there is a ticket system in place as well as a forum where you can chat to others who run this software. The author is helpful and does offer other software such as WordPress plugins. Update notifications are sent out by email and they are well documented.
PCRMB VERDICT
Top quality software at a very keen price makes this an unmissable bargain. We particularly like the fact it locks down the security where necessary too, essential on database and PHP driven sites.
